Apple's new macOS Mojave update is not compatible with mid-2010 and mid-2012 Mac Pros with stock GPUs, but it is supported on 2010 and 2012 Mac Pro models that have been upgraded with graphics.
I own a MacPro 2012. I followed the recommandation of Apple to install the MSI Radeon RX560 so that I will be able to run Mojave. I must say, the RX560 and Mojave are running very well on my Mac, in fact it's the best combination experience on this Mac ever. I love it! Thank You Apple and MSI! At any rate, there is one small issue. Most if not all people using MacPro's with 3rd party graphics cards know that the Mac screen is blank while booting up and remains that way to just about the time when you reach the login screen. I understand it may be due to the non Apple firmware associated with the graphics card. Does Apple or anyone have sollution which will allow the system to boot as it does with the previous graphics card? Firmware? Driver? I'd like to be able to use preboot option commands, drive slections, pram, etc. which will make the experence complete.
Thanks!
